DIN 125-A – Plain washers, form A
Dimensions, materials and applications – with the ISO counterpart ISO 7089.
DIN 125 covers plain washers for hexagon bolts and nuts. Form A has no chamfer, form B has a chamfered outer edge. A washer spreads the clamping load, protects the surface and gives the nut a smooth, defined bearing face.
The ISO counterparts are ISO 7089 (without chamfer) and ISO 7090 (chamfered). Some dimensions changed, and ISO only has hardness classes 200 HV and 300 HV – the soft 140 HV class is gone. Use at least 200 HV under bolts of property class 8.8 and higher. Our datasheet lists inner diameter, outer diameter, thickness and weight for every size.
We supply DIN 125-A washers from M1.6 to M36 in steel 200 HV and 300 HV and in stainless A2 and A4. Stainless sizes up to M12 are also available EPK-treated and vacuum-packed for cleanroom assembly. For thin sheet or oversized holes, choose DIN 9021 with its larger outer diameter; for high-strength structural bolting sets, DIN 6916.

- Which hardness class do I need?
- 200 HV is suitable for bolts up to property class 8.8. For 10.9 bolts use 300 HV washers. Stainless washers in A2 or A4 go with stainless bolts and nuts.
