DIN 976-1 – Stud bolts, metric thread

DIN 976-1 is the standard for stud bolts with metric thread – studs and threaded rods for bolted flanges, anchors and machine assemblies. It defines the threads, the preferred and non-preferred sizes and the fine-pitch options from M2 up to M72. Our datasheet lists the coarse and fine-pitch threads for every size, with the non-preferred sizes marked.
DIN 976-1 has no ISO successor and is still valid. For flanges to ASME B16.5 the inch counterpart is ASME B18.31.2 with UNC / 8UN threads. We cut, chamfer and mark DIN 976 stud bolts in our own production in Almere, with the grade, heat number and manufacturer's symbol permanently marked on every stud.
Every stud is supplied with matching nuts as a set and an EN 10204 3.1 certificate; 3.2 on request. Studs are available plain or coated – PTFE / Xylan, TAKECOAT-1000, zinc plated or hot-dip galvanized – in ASTM, ISO and EN 10269 grades.
